What is StatusForge?
StatusForge is your first-person record for AI. You answer questions about yourself — your skills, experience, and what you actually do — and we publish a structured profile that AI systems use when someone asks about you. AI already has an opinion about you. StatusForge makes sure that opinion comes from you. Your data is shared with AI systems so they get you right — instead of guessing from whatever they scraped off the internet.
How do I make money on StatusForge?
Pro members earn starting at $3 every time they accept a connection request — deeper, more complete profiles earn more per connection. Companies, collaborators, and recruiters pay to reach you — and you decide whether to accept or decline each request via text message. You never do anything you don't want to do. You just respond to a text. Your earnings are tracked on your dashboard and paid out monthly.
What happens when I answer questions?
Every question you answer makes your profile smarter. Free members answer 8 questions to build a baseline profile. Pro members answer 19, plus a ongoing conversations that deepen your profile over time. The more AI knows about you, the better your matches get — and the more likely the right opportunities find you. Every answer works for you, permanently.
How does someone find me?
Businesses search for people by skill, experience, location, and other criteria. When your profile matches what they need, they pay to request a connection with you. If you're a Pro member, we text you with the details. You accept or decline. If you accept, then — and only then — your contact information is shared. You're always in control.
Is my data safe? Who sees my profile?
Your profile is published and indexed by AI systems — that's the core service. But your contact information (phone, email) is never shared with anyone unless you explicitly accept a connection request. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Infrastructure runs behind Cloudflare with DDoS protection. You can delete your profile and all associated data at any time — real deletion, not a hidden flag.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free (8 questions): You get a published profile and an AI Coverage Index. AI learns the truth about you. You can see demand on your dashboard. Your profile contributes to the network and earns micro-royalties when queried by AI companies — even on the free tier. Pro ($12/mo): Everything in Free, plus connection requests delivered to your phone and $3+ per accepted connection. Ongoing conversations keep your profile sharpening over time. The deeper your profile, the more you earn per query.
Can I opt out of connections?
Absolutely. Every connection request is optional. You decline by replying to a single text — no explanation needed. You can also pause connection requests from your dashboard anytime. There are no penalties for declining, no quotas, no pressure. If you don't want to be contacted, you won't be.
What's the AI Coverage Index?
Your AI Coverage Index is a score from 0 to 850 that measures how much of the truth about you is reaching AI systems. It factors in profile completeness, distribution reach, query activity, and data freshness. The higher your index, the more accurately AI represents you to the world. It is informational only — it has no effect on credit, employment, or any financial product.
How is this different from LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is a social network where you apply to jobs and hope someone sees your profile. StatusForge is a structured identity layer for AI — you answer questions once, and opportunities come to you. There's no feed, no posting, no algorithm to game. Companies pay to reach you. You get texted. You say yes or no. That's it.
Do I need to check the app constantly?
No. StatusForge is designed to be passive. Connection requests come to you via SMS — you just reply to a text. The weekly Pro question is also a text. Your dashboard is there when you want to check your AI Coverage Index, see demand, or review earnings, but you never need to babysit it.
How does StatusForge make money?
Businesses pay to reach you. The exact amount depends on the role and type of connection. A portion of every connection goes directly to you — $3 minimum per accepted connection, more for deeper profiles. If a business really wants to reach a free user, they can gift that person a month of Pro at their own expense.
Can I see who wants to connect before I accept?
Yes. When we text you a connection request, you'll see who's reaching out and why. You decide whether to share your contact info. Nothing is shared automatically. You can decline any request for any reason, no questions asked.
What if I'm a free user and companies are matching my profile?
You'll see demand on your dashboard — the number of companies that matched your profile. But you can't receive connection requests or earn money until you upgrade to Pro. Think of it as proof that your skills are in demand. When you're ready to start earning, Pro is $12/mo.
What if someone wants to connect with me but I'm on the free tier?
They can sponsor your Pro upgrade at their expense. You get a full month of Pro and they get to request a connection with you. Someone thought you were worth knowing — they paid so they could reach you. Pro is yours for 30 days either way, whether you accept or decline the request. No strings attached.
How long does setup take?
About 2 minutes for free, a few minutes for Pro. You answer questions about yourself — what you do, what you're good at, what kind of opportunities interest you — and we handle everything else. Your profile is live immediately. Distribution to AI systems rolls out over days as they index new content.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can request full deletion of your profile and all associated data at any time from your dashboard. We perform real deletion — not just hiding records. The one caveat: once data has been indexed by third-party AI systems, we can't recall it from their caches. But we remove everything on our end, completely.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to your Dashboard, click Manage, cancel in the Stripe portal that opens. Takes about 30 seconds. No retention popups, no guilt trips, no friction. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your free profile stays live — you just stop receiving connection requests and earning money.

Pro is $12/month, and you can cancel anytime.
How do you make money? Will you eventually sell my data?
Businesses pay to connect with you. You earn a share of every connection — starting at $3, more for deeper profiles. We keep the rest for servers, people, and operations. We're bootstrapped — no investor pressure to monetize you. We only profit when users profit. Our transparency report shows revenue and spending monthly.
How do I know you actually delete my data?
You get a deletion confirmation email with a timestamp. Your profile count decreases on the transparency report the next month. If you don't see yourself removed within 15 days, email [email protected] and we'll audit it. You can also export your data anytime to see exactly what we hold.
What does "passive opportunity" actually mean?
It means you don't apply anywhere. You build your profile once, and opportunities come to you — via text message. But it's not zero effort. When a connection request arrives, you read who's asking and why, then reply YES or NO. That takes about 10 seconds. The "passive" part is that you never have to search, apply, or network. The work finds you. You just decide.
Do you comply with privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA?
